Newberg High School Class of '58

Judy Gamble Brandt

Attended Newberg schools from first grade thru freshman year.  Grad: Sherwood H.S. '58. 
Moved to Yakima WA.  Married Neil 1961; he's still farming orchard, Wapato WA.  Mostly stay-at-home wife. 
Enjoyed some travel over the years:  a camping trip to Yellowknife, NWT Canada; javelina hunting on mule-back in S. Arizona; & so on. 
Various hobbies:  photography, calligraphy, crafts. 
Various activities:  Misc. volunteer work; Toastmasters; Election Board; hosting exchange students; hockey-mom; 4H horse-mom; Cougar Mom (our 3 kids are WSU grads); Grumsie the Clown to a select few--I have real clown shoes. 
Avoided farm work whenever possible, but drove fruit truck to Yakima warehouse for a couple of harvest seasons.  
Member of Red Hat group and a writing group in AZ.  Member of writing group in Yakima; nothing published; mostly write family history stories.  
Two grandkids nearby and two more in Seattle, keep me on my toes.  
Thanks for inviting me to join reunion.  I remember my Newberg childhood fondly and never expected to have the opportunity to visit the past like this.
