New (July 08) letter from Roger and AK
Hello classmates from Roger and Alice Kaye. We are looking forward to seeing all of you at the 50th (that can't be right!!) reunion. Thanks to all of you working on the website and the reunion committee; you are doing a great job. Much has happened to us since the last reunion. I retired from Battelle after 30 years and we moved from Richland, WA to Sumner, WA in 2007. Sumner is a small town in the midst of the Seattle/Tacoma megalopolis, east of Tacoma. We moved to Sumner to be near two of our kids; David and family live in Renton, April and family live in Puyallup. Our younger son Jason lives in Anchorage, Alaska. We have 3 grandkids, oldest is 19. I am working as a consultant part time, mostly for my old company, and doing some fishing in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Alice Kaye is my accountant, financial advisor, and general organizer. We spend a lot of time following our grandkids sports events; football, basketball, softball. We also spend some time (not enough) at our family beach house in Rockaway, Oregon. Alice Kaye's mom and my brother Larry and a few uncles and cousins are about all the family we have left in Newberg, but we get there pretty often to visit Alice Kaye's mother, who will be moving in with us in Sumner soon. I keep seeing people in Fred Meyer that may or may not be my classmates, but usually aren't. We see Bill and Gaynelle once in a while (how come they don't look old like the rest of us? Life is never fair) and we run into Harold Turpen occasionally. It will be great fun to see all of you again, and we really look forward to it.
