Gary Abell, died Nov. 14, 2014, at home in Canby.
He grew up and attended school in Newberg.
He was a retired truck driver for Ralston Purina Co. and Harvey Tofte Farms.
Survivors include Pat Abell, of Canby; sons, Leroy, of McMinnville, and Gary Terry, of Canby; daughters, Marie, of Canby, Mary, of Beaverton, and Patty, of Pendleton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Clackamas County fairgrounds in Canby.

Gary's wife, Pat, called to give us information in January of 2008.
She and Gary continue to live in Aurora. She didn't mention the number of children they have but DID tell of 13 grandchildren, the youngest of which is 15 years old.
They are busy right now with lambing, having about 100 ewes. They show their sheep all over the country.
Four years ago Gary suffered a fall during a heavy storm and has not been of good health since.
They will be unable to join us on the cruise but will try to make it to the picnic.
