Each year has something to look forward to - this year? Much cooler weather! It allowed more folks from more classes to venture out, so those - from your friends above or below the class of '58 - were just hanging around for a good visit. Two of the recipients of this years' scholarships joined us at our table to chat with us They were mostly interested in what it was like when we were in high school. And we were interestred in their projected hopes of for the careers they plan.
No matter that the years are catching up with us. We, the class of '58 still have grit and heart and pride. Hope to see you next year!

| Golden Gathering/65th Class Reunion ~ 2023 |
Class of '58 ~ Golden Gathering PLUS a reunion of sorts. Oh, how you were missed!! It was HOT! And so many conflicts for the day but here are those of us who made it. You will find a picture of us at the GG under the TIGERS sign. Unfortunately, a fire closed Hwy 99W at the bottom of Rex Hill and some of our tenacious classmates who were finding alternate routes arrived at the restaurant later. But what a GOOD time we had! Check out your aging classmates and set August 11th, 2024, in your calendars. We're not "over the hill" yet!

Later that same weekend . . . Yes, the day after our 60th class reunion 24 of our classmates were able to head to ADEC to meet with each other as well as those NHS graduates who came before and after. Three of us, Richard Carroll, Ruth Peterson Piper and Al Blodgett had not been able to attend the reunion but were able to be here for the Golden Gathering.

It was a good day for greeting old friends at this years' Golden Gathering. Our class of '58 was well represented this year at the Golden Gathering.

It was so good to see so many here this year. The parking lot ran out of spaces and the room was at capacity. We are always well cared for with refreshments and people to help us get oriented. The visiting never stops and time runs out before everyone gets to make the rounds. It's a great event and hope we have even more '58 classmates next year. See you then!

| Golden Gathering, August, 2008 |
Three members of our class attended the Golden Gathering in 2008: Darlene Patton Livengood, Mike Sturdevant and Jeanne Ochsner. It's a great get-together for anyone who graduated Newberg High School and, while it's intended for those whose graduation date is 50 years ago (or before), any old grad would have a wonderful time attending.
There were several members of the class of 1938 who were celebrating their 70th reunion, and one member of the class of 1926.
Next year's gathering will be held on August 9, 2009.
How about we get together again next year informally on the same weekend as the Golden Gathering? We would find some way for the event to be free to everyone. If you like the idea let us know.
