Newberg High School Class of '58

Hi Classmates! 

Hurray!  I am retired from 31 years of teaching and coaching, mostly at the junior  high level; however, I do continue to officiate volleyball in the fall.  I am still an outdoor kind of gal, and since I am retired, I now consider it my "job" to work at tennis, golf, whatever.  This "job" is year round as we spend winters in Arizona.  We also spend quite a bit of time with the grandchildren.
 

My four sons, ages 47-43, are the busy parents of a total of seven children ranging from twenty-one to two years of age.  I remarried five years ago.  My husband is a retired teacher (37 years - physics) and enjoys the outdoors as much as I.  For those who remember my large family, I have lost one sister.  The other nine brothers and sisters are doing well.

I believe we went to school in the best of times.  We stayed kids much longer than young people of today.  We had few if any life changing decisions to make - such as drug use.  I don't remember many of us having an abundance of material things, and we appreciated what we had.  It was a great time to grow up.

I will sincerely miss seeing everyone.  Especially, give my love to Carolyn
